Monday-Wednesday, May 2-4 - 4:30pm to 6:30pm
Attending this camp does not commit you automatically, but will give you a great overview of marching techniques and give you a chance to meet other rookies and a few veteran band members.
Meet in Bulldog Plaza: the open plaza/breezeway that is between the main building (that fronts Chamblee-Dunwoody) and the Fine Arts / Gym Building. Accessible from Mendenhall via the stairs next to the practice field.
Students can walk from Chamblee Middle School at dismissal
All prospective band members are strongly encouraged to attend.
Minimal playing throughout, we’ll be working on marching techniques.
Parents can wait for 6:30 dismissal and in the CHS bus lane (along Pierce Drive) or the big parking lot that is next to the Fine Arts Building (accessible from Pierce Drive)
What to bring:
water bottle
comfortable sneakers (and wear socks!)
tshirt and shorts.
Snacks will be provided.
Percussion and Color Guard Tryouts
Tryouts will take place during Rookie Camp, Monday-Wednesday, May 2-4 - 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Report to the Bulldog plaza (as described above) and follow the same instructions about what to wear and what to expect.
