JanFest 2022 Changes due to COVID-19
For the health and safety of everyone involved in JanFest 2022, we are making changes to the format of this year’s festival.
The nomination process will remain the same. Registration information will be emailed October 25th. Registration deadline is November 19th.
Directors will be notified of student acceptances on or around December 3rd.
We will ask accepted students to submit video auditions by January 9th. Students will be asked to submit a video of the etudes that will be sent out along with student acceptances.
Guest Bands will perform Friday evening, January 21st, to a socially-distanced and masked audience. Everyone is invited to attend.
JanFest bands will rehearse and present concerts Saturday, January 22nd. JanFest will be held only at the School of Music (no events at the Classic Center). There will be four bands with a total of 300-350 students.
8:00 – 9:00 a.m. Registration (band assignments handed out)
9:00 a.m. – noon Band rehearsals
Noon – 1:00 p.m. Lunch (catered to rehearsal sites)
1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Band rehearsals
3:30 – 7:10 p.m. Band concerts (audience must be socially-distanced & masked)
We will provide performance masks and bell covers to students participating in JanFest 2022.
The cost of JanFest 2021 will be $75. This fee includes a catered lunch.
