Parents and Performers,
Welcome to the 2026 CHS Winterguard! I'm excited to begin Year Five of this program and I'm so grateful to have each of you join us for what promises to be another meaningful season. For those who were unable to attend our parent meeting, I want to provide a recap of everything discussed as we get this season going.
All rehearsals, staging camps, gym dates, and competitions are listed on our season schedule. Please make sure you review this along with the contract attached below. All contracts should be submitted as soon as possible.
Here is a finalized payment schedule for the season:
Returning Members – $600
Dec 31: $200
Jan 31: $200
Feb 28: $200
New Members – $735
Dec 31: $200
Jan 31: $335
Feb 28: $200
All payments will be made through our band program’s online system. Once the system is set up for payments, I will get back to you! If your student needs a payment plan beyond these dates, please communicate with our booster treasurer directly. We want to make sure every interested student can participate. We will work with you to make it possible.
Our competition season runs from late January through late March, with events held at schools across Georgia. On competition days, students are expected to arrive at CHS on time, stay with the team throughout the event, and participate in all aspects as a group. Historically we don't get buses, so parents are responsible for driving students to and from competitions. We will share a sign-up system for carpooling once we get closer to our first event. Detailed information including call times, locations, travel plans, packing lists, and carpool sign-ups will be sent out before each competition.
I'm incredibly grateful for your trust and support as we begin this season. Winterguard is a special experience that helps students grow not only as performers, but as teammates and as young adults. I'm proud to work with your students and excited for everything this season will bring!
